As of today (April 30, 2013), Leavins Inventory Manager Server Edition has been discontinued. The program was intended to be a web-based, multi-user version of Leavins Inventory Manager.
There are a few reasons behind this decision.
Server Edition served little purpose. It was intended for use by thrifty, small-business owners who did not want to purchase access to a cloud service but wanted multi-user access. I thought about this earlier today, and realized that very few actually fit that description. The few who do are tech-savvy individuals who would probably be requiring an online storefront (which is not something that Server Edition provided).
I also feel that LIM Server Edition was a low-quality product relative to Leavins Inventory Manager. There were a number of performance and visual problems with the web application, and the overall experience was less smooth than the single-user version.
This change affects no users, because no one bought Leavins Inventory Manager Server Edition. Working on Server Edition was a memorable experience that I learned much from, but it's time to move on and focus efforts elsewhere.
With Server Edition discontinued, I am now able to devote more resources to Leavins Inventory Manager and some other projects. New updates, and new features are coming soon.
