Progress is being made! For the last few weeks, I've been focusing my efforts on the new 'web server' feature in Leavins Inventory Manager. This allows multiple users to access Leavins Inventory Manager's data from their web browsers.
Here are some of the features that will be in the web server portion of the program.
The single-user portion of Leavins Inventory Manager gives you access to every business detail. The web server portion of the program is setup for multiple users, and an administrator can grant & revoke access to certain parts of the site. The administrator can change these permissions and create users through a special administrator's page.
Leavins Software has access to an iPod Touch and a Kindle Fire, and I'll do my best job to ensure that the web portion of the program looks & works great on mobile devices.
My current plan for the web server version of the program is to give it all of the important features of the single-user version. As of this writing, the web version has search and edit functionality for items, customers, orders, and payments. You can also print orders directly from the web application.
This first version of the web application will (probably) not include the following features:
Excluding these features allows me to focus on making a quality experience for the 'core' parts of the web application. If I have plenty of time, I want to include 'Take Inventory' and customer statements in this first version of the web app.
